I’m on a blogging roll!

Next up is the beautiful wedding of Laura and Michael, who married on a beautiful May Saturday, earlier this year.

My highlights of photographing this wedding….

  • Laura and Michael and their families were just a pleasure to work with - so welcoming, friendly and warm. I was offered a cup of tea within 30 seconds of stepping into Laura’s mums beautiful apartment, which set the tone of the day!

  • When I arrived on the morning of the wedding, Laura had just returned from her ‘wedding day run’! That was a new one for me, but what a great way to dispel any nervous energy - and it worked - Laura was so chilled and relaxed throughout the day, which is exactly as it should be (on my own wedding day I woke up at 5am and listen to Beyonce’s ‘Freakum Dress on repeat until my crew had surfaced!!)

  • I got to work with my friend and extremely talented make-up artist, Emma Denton. It’s always fab when I get to work alongside my industry pals! :-)

  • Laura and Michael married in a beautiful little church, with views of Rosemary Topping in the distance - and the choir from the school, where Michael works as a teacher, came along to sing for them

  • The wedding reception was just a short drive away, held in teepees at the gorgeous Lordstones Country Park

  • The weather was beautiful….All. Day. Long!

  • Laura’s sister Emma, pulled together a slideshow of the newlyweds' friends, family and colleagues, singing a song for them (she even managed to wangle contributions from a couple of celebs!) The whole thing was a total surprise for Laura and Michael and their expressions while watching the video are priceless!
