Leeds Family Photography | Bolton Abbey

Aaaaand a family shoot from last winter!

I remember it being exceptionally cold on the morning of this shoot, with frost on the ground and Bolton Abbey gearing up for Christmas.

It was a ‘fingerless gloves’ kind of a shoot (seriously one of my best ever investments….I used to think, as a child that they were only worn by people who owned outdoor market stalls, along with ‘bum-bags’….but now I both own and proudly wear both!)

Claire had been in touch just a couple of weeks before, to book the shoot, while the family were back in Yorkshire over the Christmas break, from Dubai where they had been living for the past few years. To say that these guys live in constant sun, their knitwear game was strong and I loved that they came with the hats and scarves too (I always suggest bringing these for autumn./winter shoots as they are a great way to add a bit of variety in to your pictures).

For those of you that know Bolton Abbey, you’ll probably recognise that all the pictures featured below were taken just a stones throw from the Cavendish Pavilion; I shoot here loads, there are so many great spots for photos, away from the crowds, with cake and hot chocolate on tap from 10am!
