Next up on the blog is a gorgeous wedding at the Harrogate Sun Pavilion.
I was really chuffed to become a recommended supplier of this great venue, last year.
I love this place, for for its abundance of natural light and the ability to hold ceremonies outdoors, overlooking the Valley Gardens. This venue is also a great ‘blank canvas’ both indoors and outdoors, so the look and feel can vary hugely, depending on how the couple have chosen to dress the space.
The Valley Gardens are perfect for couples portraits (even on a crowded Saturday, there are lots of empty little corners for photographs).
So what can I tell you specifically about Carly and Steve, who got married at the Harrogate Sun Pavilion, earlier this year?!….
Carly got ready at the Studley Hotel, just a short walk from the Pavilion
The weather was kind and the ceremony was held outdoors. The wooden rafters were adorned with bright paper lanterns, which looked really effective (you could even see them later on in the day, behind Carly and Steve, during the wedding speeches).
The wedding ‘cake’ was a tower of huge blue iced donuts….which turned everyones teeth temporarily blue!! :-)
It was a really ‘child friendly’ wedding, with a bouncy castle and kids corner, supervised by fully trained nursery staff. This worked brilliantly, as the kids remained both safe and entertained, while the grown ups could relax.
There is a ‘crazy golf’ course just a 2 minute walk away from the Sun Pavilion….which Carly and Steve were keen to play, after their wedding breakfast (I loved that!)
Carly and Steve wrote a short bio on every wedding guest, which was displayed next to the table plan. Such a lovely, personal touch.
Carly requested ‘the sock shot’ #ifyouknowyouknow!!
A handful of images from Carly and Steve’s fab wedding day. Thanks for having me guys!!! x
