This blog piece has been in 'quarantine' for a few weeks!
I say that because while the shoot took place over Easter, I've been keeping the images on 'lock-down' until today! Becky is an old school friend of mine and she booked a shoot, with a view to giving her hubby a framed print for his birthday....today! I clearly didn't want to ruin the surprise, but I have news, hot off the press, that said gift has now changed hands :-)
The shoot took place at Bolton Abbey, west Yorkshire, during my two day Easter 'mini shoot' offer. The weather was all over the place, over those two days....we pretty much saw all 4 seasons during Becky's shoot slot! After 20 minutes or so, the heavens just opened, so we dived for cover in the Cavendish Pavillion (they weren't yet open but I think they took pity on us!). Then, just as our coffees arrived, as did bright sunshine, so we dashed back out like mad women to make the most of it. I'm so glad we did too, as the light in the later photos really does make all the difference.
So here are just a handful from the many images we captured that morning. The first one is now printed and framed, soon to be hung in the family home.
Thanks Becky.....and happy birthday Chris :-)
I'm Ilkley based photographer, but frequently travel around Yorkshire (and beyond) for portraiture sessions. If you are interested in booking a photoshoot, drop me a line (firstname.lastname@example.org) or a call (07429017143).
