Yorkshire Wedding Photographer | Aldwark Manor | York
Debbie and Martin married back in May, at a beautiful little church near to Debbie's parents house in Wetherby - with the reception at Aldwark Manor, outside York.
I got to know Debbie, Martin and their gorgeous little girl Macy, at their engagement shoot a few months before. This is one of the many reasons I love engagement shoots. They are a fab opportunity to get couples a little before the big day. Chatting through the upcoming wedding day over a cuppa, helps me to understand what a couple wants to achieve from their final set of images, any specific likes or dislikes they may have, how they feel being in front of the camera etc. It also gives my clients a flavour as to how I typically work and means that I am a familiar face on the morning of the wedding!
The wedding day was brill from beginning to end (despite me having just the remnants of a voice, from a recent bug!). It was an extra special church service too, as the wedding ceremony was followed by Macy's christening.
The weather was on our side all day, which was a bonus and allowed us to really make the most of the gorgeous grounds. And some lovely golfers, passing by after their 19th hole, were very gracious when I asked if we could hijack their golf buggy for a few photos!
Thanks for a great day Debbie, Martin and Macy :-)
