A quick blog following Lisa and Nathan's engagement shoot on Friday, on the beautiful Ilkley Moor....
We kicked off with a quick drink at the Cow & Calf pub, to go through their plans and schedule for the wedding day. I try to start most of my engagement shoots this way; it allows us to get to know each other a little better and talking through the wedding day plans in advance, stands me in really good stead for capturing the day as it unfolds!.
We then nipped across the road and ventured onto the moor. The day was lovely and bright but the cloud coverage was thick, so no blue skies on this occasion.
Lisa and Nathan were a great couple to photograph, both so naturally smiley and good fun....plus they seemed fully on board with my love of photographing 'through things'! For those of you that follow my Facebook page you'll also know that the shoot was not without its drama! My suggestion to go 'off piste' was not properly thought through and resulted in me being 'assisted' down a rock face by these two! So a big thank you to them for seeing me and my beloved cameras back to safety!!
Lisa and Nathan are due to marry this June at Oakwood Hall, in Bingley, West Yorkshire. I can't wait for that (in particular seeing Lisa in her dress and witnessing Nathan's notorious dance moves!)
I'm Ilkley based photographer, but happily travel around Yorkshire (and beyond) for wedding bookings. If you are interested in discussing your wedding photography, i'd love to hear from you! Drop me a line (firstname.lastname@example.org) or a call (07429017143).
